FOR THE FRUIT OF ALL CREATION
For the fruit of all creation, thanks be to God
Gifts bestowed on every nation, thanks be to God
For the ploughing, sowing, reaping, silent growth while we are sleeping
Future needs in earth’s safekeeping, thanks be to God.
In the just reward of labour, God’s will is done
In the help we give our neighbour, God’s will is done
In our worldwide task of caring for the hungry and despairing
In the harvests we are sharing, thanks be to God.
For the harvests of the Spirit, thanks be to God
For the good we all inherit, thanks be to God
For the wonders that astound us, for the truths that still confound us
Most of all that love has found us, thanks be to God.
SHINE, JESUS, SHINE
Lord, the light of your love is shining
In the midst of the darkness shining
Jesus, Light of the World, shine upon us
Set us free by the truth you now bring us
Shine on me, shine on me
Shine, Jesus, shine; fill this land with the Father’s glory
Blaze, Spirit, blaze, set our hearts on fire
Flow, river, flow, flood the nations with grace and mercy
Send forth your word, Lord, and let there be light.
Lord, I come to your awesome presence
From the shadows into your radiance
By the blood I may enter your brightness
Search me, try me, consume all my darkness
Shine on me, shine on me
As we gaze on your kingly brightness,
So our faces display your likeness
Ever changing from glory to glory
Mirrored here may our lives tell your story
Shine on me, shine on me.
LORD OF ALL HOPEFULNESS
Lord of all hopefulness, Lord of all joy
Whose trust ever childlike, no cares could destroy
Be there at our waking and give us we pray
Your bliss in our hearts Lord
At the end of the day.
Lord of all eagerness, Lord of all faith
Whose strong hands were skilled at the plane and the lathe
Be there at our labours and give us, we pray
Your strength in our hearts, Lord
At the noon of the day.
Lord of all kindliness, Lord of all grace
Your hands swift to welcome, your arms to embrace
Be there are our homing and give us we pray
Your love in our hearts, Lord
At the eve of the day.
Lord of all gentleness, Lord of all calm
Whose voice is contentment, whose presence is balm
Be there at our sleeping and give us, we pray
Your peace in our hearts, Lord
At the end of the day.
